THIS SUMMER
After an early budburst and very
dry start to the 2007/2008 season,
winery & restaurant
(even worse than 2007) substantial
rain in November has transformed
the water starved vines into the
uncontrolled triffids.
Flowering and fruit set has now
occurred producing good healthy
crops. Canopy management
work, foliage wire lifting and shoot
tucking has been a difficult task
given the rapid growth of the
vines, however it is now complete
and our vine trimmer is flat out
trimming off the excess growth.
At this stage I am very optimistic for a very good Vintage 2008 and
hopeful that the weather conditions over the coming ten to twelve

2007 Victorian
Wine Show Success
Paringa Estate won the trophy for Best Pinot Noir at the recently
EXPERIENCE
held 2007 Victorian Wine Show. A check of the records revealed
that this was the third year in a row, and in fact looking back further
it showed it was five out of the past seven years. While not every

substantial number do. If nothing else it points to an amazing level
