Venice on the Peninsula
Marisa and Rose owners of All Things Venetian were so impressed
by the Venice Carnivale when they visited in February 2006 they
decided to bring Venice to Mornington for everyone to enjoy.
All Things Venetian directly import from Venice the masks and
Murano Glass to ensure customers are buying authentic Venetian
products. They personally hand select stock for all their customers
to enjoy, and you can experience Venice on the Peninsula and
sample handmade Italian food and decadent Venetian hot chocolate
whilst you enjoy the genuine Italian hospitalitity in their café.
Sunny Courtyard Oasis
Mornington has a secret oasis just metres from the bustle of
Main Street. Balcombe Restaurant, in Barkly Street, is housed
in a beautiful, listed church building and is doubly blessed by their
sunny courtyard, surrounded by gardens & overlooked by the
light filled atrium.
Enjoy the new relaxed Lunch menu - Old favourites have been
supplemented by delicious open sandwiches, savoury tarts
and terrines. A $16.50, two course seniors menu has also been
introduced. Whether its an a la carte business lunch, a relaxed meal
with friends or simply a glass of wine or coffee... Balcombe has
something for everyone.
Chill out Fridays @ Balcombe - Enjoy the ambience of the acoustic
sounds of Sam Wyatt from 9.30 on Friday evenings. The courtyard
comes alive as people enjoy his original music, complimented by
fellow musicians doing favourite covers.
Sam is an integral part of the fabric of Balcombe, being both
entertainer and chef. His creativity satisfies all the senses. Organise
your function for a Friday evening, Sam and the kitchen team will
cater for your culinary needs then entertain you into the early hours.
